The Rubloff research group includes graduate students, postdoctoral research associates, and undergraduates with a variety of backgrounds. The current group is mainly composed of materials and bioengineering students, reflecting the composition of the research program, but students from other disciplines in engineering and the sciences may also present a good match for the group. The diversity of ongoing research programs in the group enrich the perspective of students and postdocs as they evolve toward their independent careers in engineering and science.

Interested candidates should contact Prof. Rubloff by email, attaching a recent CV that lists research accomplishments, publications and names and contact information for references.
When a position is open and where a favorable match appears possible, Prof. Rubloff will reply directly.

Interest and/or experience in the following areas are particularly well suited to the group's current research:

  • nanostructures for energy devices
  • chemical functionalization and electrochemistry
  • ultraclean (UHV-level) processing and surface science
  • biomolecular and cellular processes investigated in microfluidics
  • real-time in-situ chemical diagnostics
